Three Obstacle Challenges await you on the course!!
Ropes Challenge: This challenge consists of a very easy challenge that almost anyone can do. It’s fun exciting and unique.
Brain Teaser or Experiential Challenge: This could be a riddle or a group exercise that requires team work and gets you involved with other participants. This is always a surprise and anyone can complete it.
Strength Challenge: There are multiple levels of strength challenges. Most consist of carrying an object through a small obstacle course. Different levels of this challenge can be completed with lighter weights for kids or beginners, or with heavy weights for those that want an extra challenge.
TOP 3 Men and Woman finishers will receive prizes! And don’t forget about our COSTUME CONTEST!
Check the FAQ tab for more information.
Yes, participants must be at least 12 years old to race the course. Ages 12 to 18 can participate only when running with an adult entered in the race, and will need to show proof of age. No – however, there will be numbers given to each runner in order to determine prizes for top 3 finishers of each gender. NiteRun events are intended to be a fun way of building up physical strength and agility as well as mental creativity and stimulation. You are welcome to bring your own timers and time yourself. We will be starting our live music and other celebratory activities at a given time regardless of whether or not all the runners have completed the course.
We give you your very own headlamp to guide you through the night. Upon checking in with your photo ID, you will receive your headlamp, a t-shirt, and a race number. We will send out a reminder email to all our registered participants as we get closer to the event. Be sure to Like Us on Facebook so you can keep up with the latest news on event preparation.
Run (or walk) the 5K course and when you come upon one of our Challenges, complete it! Even if you cannot do the Challenge well, giving it your best effort is what will allow you to continue on through the course.
